Finished my shorts.

The muslin pair turned out better than I imagined it would.

But…I put it in the wash in order to get the sizing out, so I could dye them efficiently….

And I somehow managed to forget to put in finishing seams at the edges of all my structure seams. In other words, they frayed in the wash to the point that the seams came undone.

So, I’ve still put them in the dye pail for the night. No use in wasting that.

At least I still have the muslin pair that I can deconstruct and make another pair from. :-)

Woo!

Got the muslin pair almost complete, just gotta sew on the waistband. And then I’ll take it ALL apart in order to have my pattern for the real materials.

On the plus side, I’ll always have the muslin pattern. Yay me.

About to make my own pair of floral shorts for summer.

But first I must make them perfectly from muslin so I don’t ruin my floral fabric.

I’ll update you on what goes down.

I’ll probably just get frustrated and throw my sewing machine across the room.
